I am a PhD candidate in the Economics Department at the University of Texas at Austin.
I will be on the job market during the 2024–2025 academic year.
My research focuses on applied microeconomics, with specific interests in the economics of education and crime.
My job market paper estimates the effect of decriminalizing student misbehavior on education, employment, and adult criminality. I find that an overly harsh disciplinary system is counterproductive: decriminalization resulted in increased high school graduation and employment, and a decrease in adult convictions.
